Senior Project ESLR
EFFECTIVE USER OF TECHNOLOGY
1. The aspects of this ESLR that I am focusing on is communicating through technology as well as completing my assignment through differen forms of technology.
2. During this senior project I had to use the Internet to look for people or businesses that were relevant to my EQ. Then I'd have to call those people and follow up with them through email (two different forms of technology. I have also taken advantage of the iPhone and iPad and I have been able to complete assignments on the go and in various places.
3. This makes me better at time management, for being able to complete assignments on the go and gives me the opportunity to get work done WHENEVER I am not busy. This saves time and energy (because I don't have to a lug a laptop around or have access to a computer.)

2. In order to effectively communicate with others it is important for my to get my ideas across. So often times I will rehearse what I say ahead of time or even write myself a script.
3. This teaches me to organize my thoughts, which will give me little trouble collaborating with others in group work.

Blog 10: Self Reflection
(1) How do you think you are doing so far in your senior project and why? AE, P, AP, CR, or NC
Gradewise, I believe that I am in the P range for senior project, because so far I have done everything that has been required.
(2) What one thing do you think you have done well on and why?
My five-minute presentation is something that I have done well. I managed to teach people information about my senior topic while also keeping them engaged in the presentation.
(3) What is one thing you would like to improve on and why?
Right now, I need to work on finding service learning. The service learning is very important to the senior project because it the best way to get someone to learn more and become experienced in their topic of choice.

Blog 9: Science Fair Proposal
1. What is your hypothesis?
If a neighborhood has a high divorce rate, then Girl Scouts cookie will not sell as frequently.
2. Identify the dependant (produced), independant (manipulated) and control variables in your hypothesis.
My dependent variable is the number of Girl Scout cookies sold. My independent variable is the divorce rate in the neighborhood. My control variable will be the Girl Scout cookies.
3. What is the connection between your science fair project and your senior project EQ?
My science fair project is relevant to my EQ (What is most important to success in international business?) because when companies try to sell their products to foreign nations they have to take into account the nations demographics (such as divorce rates) and what they are willing to buy. These companies also have to watch out for changing markets (which are currently changing due to an increase in divorce rates.)

- I'll find the number of divorce rates for every city in Los Angeles County.
- Next, I'll collect the number of Girl Scout cookie sales per city in Los Angeles County from the Girl Scouts of Great Los Angeles office.
- I'll find different neighborhoods in the Los Angeles County area (one neighborhood with a divorce rate higher than the counties average divorce rate, and one lower than the average.)
- I'll then set up two Girl Scout cookie booths (where I will sell the cookies) in popular areas in the different neighborhoods for a set amount of hours.
- I will take a count of the cookies that were sold (one for each neighborhood.)
- I will then repeat steps 2 & 3 at least two more times in the same neighborhoods that I had picked before.
- I will then compare the data I received from both cities and see which one sold the most cookies.

Blog 8: What I've Learned So Far
1) What have you learned how to do since you started working on your senior project?
I have gained more knowledge on international business and I have learned the basics such as etiquette and currency exchange.
2) Post evidence of this accomplishment. It can be in the form of a picture, video, document, etc..
I can now read business magazines and newspapers with ease now that I have picked up the basic jargon.
3) What research helped you to do this and how?
My interviews have helped the most, because they have experienced this stuff first hand.
